Hi, We have a Kitchen aid glass cook top with the touch controls. The other day I attempted to turn it on and it would not respond, no lights of any kind, not even the locking key pad. I went out and cycled the breaker and all the lights came on for each of the burners, one at a time, and the key pad light came on, and then it went blank again. I thought all was well, but still no response. I’m thinking it is the touch controller since the lights came on, and not the power controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dave

I started to remove the cook top from the counter top and as I had it upside down on the counter top prior to disconnecting the wiring from the wall I decided to try the controls before I cut the breaker.
They worked, sort of.
I turned it back over and nothing. Cut the breaker, disconnected it, took it apart, and discovered the touch controls were never installed correctly from the factory.
The two levels of control boards have to be seated firmly with and the pins that hold the two boards together snapped closed, as well as the post being attached to the glass top.
Reassembled everything and hooked it back up and everything works just like it's supposed to.
I did use a manual I found on this site, so thanks for posting it, sorry can't remember who did it.
Thanks, Dave
