Element connections - It appears the element is connected to wires via crimping. I have looked at different sites and most sell the entire heater housing with the element. One site sells just the element kit but I am not sure how the ends will connect or the correct way of disconnecting the old element:confused: . What would you recommend? $50.00 vs. $140.00

The wires are attached to the element using spade connectors that simply pull of the element connector. If the element housing looks good on your dryer, same some money and buy th element kit. Some assembly is required, but it's not hard.

I understand the spade connector thing, but the element connector end slides through a ceramic insulator and I found out that to pull that back out of the insulator, you just have to bend the wing tabs straight or flat to be able to pull them through.
