Icemaker was not working and we discovered that water was squirting out the top rear of the fridge where the water tube enters. I purchased a new water tube fitting from Appliance Parts Pros and was wondering if I could get some instructions on replacing it. Do I need to remove the icemaker to get the tube out? Can you tell me how to remove the tube and install the new one into the water inlet valve? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's best to pull the ice maker out just to keep your knuckles in good shape. Look at the back of the refrigerator and you should find a compression fitting in the middle connecting the IM water line to the valve. Push in on the water line while holding the outer ring on the end with a finger, then pull out the water line. Go to the front of the freezer, take the black end of the fitting and pull it down and toward you. There is a channel molded into the insulation that the new tub will follow with out much trouble and it really only goes in one way. Reconnect the line on the back and you should be good.
