my cook top today made 2 popping sounds somewhere shortly after turning on 2 burners, I was on the other side of room and heard something funny so I cant identify where the exactly came from and then only makes partial heat in all of burners elements.Ive inspected the knob areas and cant detect anything abnormal. It wasnt exposed to water lately either.. Im wondering if one leg is bad of the 220 supply would cause this condition.. Any thoughts ?

It was a short somewhere in the cooktop which could trip off one of the circuit breakers.

The cooktop has to be taken apart. All switches and wires have to be tested with an ohmmeter in order to figure out what is wrong.
