I had someone help me diagnose a problem with my freezer and we decided it was the defrost timer. We took out the part that we thought was def. timer and it doesn't match the one we ordered from appliance pro. I would like to know where the def. timer is located on this model so that I can determine if I have the right part. The part number is: WPL 4357124.

thanks!

You have the right part, it's behind the narrow, oblong shape plastic cover.

Thank you for responding. I had already removed a plastic cover where the light is and the switch and a few other parts. None of them even resemble the part I got. I am wondering if I am looking in the right place. I could take a picture. Can I attach pictures to these threads? In the same general area I removed a square part that has White, blue, black and red wires with terminals that connect to plugs on another part.

Check the parts breakdown diagram, should show you where the item is.

Unfortunately the parts diagram shows the part but does not really show where it is. It is number part number 11 on the diagram.
