Refrigerator is not defrosting has to be defrosted manually. What could be the cause and part would you recommend?

Reach in behind the control panel and turn the defrost timer till the compressor stops running, then check defrost. If defrost, replace timer AP2061695, if no defrost, replace defrost thermostat.
