I just purchased a ge jgs968sek3ss gas stove. As I was transporting it the glass cooktop broke.(wb62t10543). Should I get it serviced or is it possible for me to replace it myself?

You can do it yourself, but if it was just purchased and damaged while in transit (hopefully in the original box) I would get it serviced. The tops are not inexpensive.

Hi Technician Brian,

Unfortunately I purchased it used. I did see that the tops are pretty expensive, do you know if I need to buy anything else to replace the top?

Thats to bad. Get the top and the gaskets on the side and that should be all you need. Remove a bunch of screws to get the top off, and you will get to know your new range better than most.
