Back in March 2011 you guys helped me out with this dryer as I replaced the timer and gas coils on it and it was running like brand new. Now it stopped working. It runs but no heat. It doesnt ignite so no flame comes on. Again I would really like to keep this machine as I rather not spend money on a new one and this machine fits great in the space I have for it in my basement. Any ideas thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

No the iginter does not glow. Machine runs but absolutely no heat. Since I just replaced the timer and gas coils in March of this year, I would hate to give up on this machine just yet and what a hassle to go dryer shopping. Thanks for any additional help as I can sure use it.:)

You may want to remove the rear panel and check the thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram) for continuity.

If the fuse is open, it has to be replaced together with the cycling thermostat (#8). Also make sure the dryer vent is clean all the way through the vent outlet and the chute (#1) is clean as well.

- The thermal fuse Part number: AP3132867
Part number: AP3132867

- The cycling thermostat Part number: AP3131939
Part number: AP3131939
