We have broken the door handle off and need to replace it. From the diagram, I can't figure out if we just need to order the curved (broken piece #8 on diagram) or also the screw brackets (#9 diagram). In any case, there are broken handle pieces still stuck to the trim which I can't seem to remove and I am not sure how to insert the new handle piece either. Is this a simple job that I am complicating or should I just call a technician?

Thanks!

If you just broke the handle (AP3092946), the screw brackets are to hold the top and bottom trim in place. The trim should slide toward the top and bottom exposing the ends of the door handle and the mounting screws. Replace the handle them put it all back together.
