Hello,

My freezer is cold at the bottom (frost all over the coils) and my fridge is warm at the top and freezing at the bottom. The fan in the freezer compartment is not working. I bought a new fan and hooked it up, still nothing - put the old one back in. I've done a lot of research and found that it could be the thermostat, thermistor, heating coil, defrost timer, or main board (typically the main board on a lot of GE models). I have no idea where to start and I'd like to avoid replacing everything. Does anyone know of this problem with the maytag? How would I access the thermostat, through the back panel? I really appreciate all of your help!
