I turn my Kenmore dryer on to dry, push the start button but will not stay on. I checked the door switch and it works. The dryer operates as long as I am pressing the button but goes off when I let up. What is causeing this to happen?

It is most likely the micrcomputer. The part # is 8546229 It is located behind the control panel. Tom
