The pump connection coupling has a pin hole creating quite a leak. Can this part be replaced from the top or does it require replacement from under the machine? It connects from the pump through the tack to the lower spray arm assembly. Model GSD4330Z02WW Part #455 It comes in male and female thread - is there any way to tel without disassembly?

I am trying to determine how to remove this coupling, so I can replace it. Please advise how to remove this part and replace it.
Thank You

Had 15 year old GSD725X-73WW Part #455 pump connection coupling with a pin hole. Pulling out dishwasher would be quite a chore but pinhole was in center of part and visable. Covered pinhole with about 1.5 inch by .75 inch by .07 inch thick double-sided mounting tape sticky side to coupling outside liner left in place (sticky inside only). Covered that with screw type hose clamp with screw over mounting tape over pinhole. Tightened hose clamp finger tight. This covered pinhole and stopped big leak
