Hello, I have an 8 year old Maytag neptune frontload washer and yesterday I

experieced my first problem. The washer washes fine until it reaches down to 7

min. and skips to 0 min. and unlocks leaving me with wet clothes. It does not enter

into the last spin cycle that wrings the clothes.

I tried to lookup the problem, but I am not good with appliances.

I read that it could be the timer skipping cycles and needs to be replaced, but I don't

know how to go about doing that.

any help is appreciated. Thanks.

This model has some good diagnostics, and I am going to link you to a service manual (your model is discussed in detail at the back, even though the manual does not say so, Maytag is like that)

That should help you diagnose the problem and it will tell you how to replace the parts you need to replace.
