Our Whirlpool fridge started making a fairly loud humming noise a couple days ago. I unplugged the fridge and plugged it back in and it was gone for 12 hours or so but came back. I took the cover off the back of the fridge and found that it's a white fan that I think is vibrating too much.
Anyone deal with this? can I fix it from vibrating some how or do I need to replace it? The fridge works fine but the noise is a bit much.
Thanks in advance

Check how stable is the fan mounting frame. Most of the time vibrating is coming from this frame. Check how tight are the fan motor mounting screws.

If there is nothing wrong then replace the fan motor.

- The part number for the condensed fan motor is AP4318657

here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool refrigerator Model ED5VHGXMB10

The mounting frame is all tight.

The noise is coming from the fan itself, it seems like it kicks on from regular to high speed and when it does that, the plastic fan blade starts vibrating. The fan still works fine but the noise is louder now so I will have to replace it.
