Hi there,

I have a Whilepool Fridge Freezer that is always running, regardless of the position of control knob. All item in the fridge eventually freezes :(

I initially thought it was the thermostat controller and replaced it with a new one, but the problem still persists. Temperature control is still not working.

Do I need to adjust the conrol by adding a ersistor somewhere?

Any suggestion please?

thanks

No

Check under the unit to make sure the condenser coils are clean.
Make sure the compressor fan is running, if it has one.
Make sure the evaporator fan in the freezer is running.
Remove the cover in the freezer and check the evaporator coils.
Are they heavily iced up? This indicates a defrost problem
Are they just frosting up in one area, usually the input side? This indicates a low freon condition. On the below site see #20 "Example picture" near the bottom.

Below is a good site which should help you troubleshoot this further.
