Reaches set temp but does not shut off? This is my 1st wall unit.Shouldn't it shut off when it reaches temp?Does the condensor shut off on these and the fan keep running?? Will appreciate any help on this.

Check your operators manual.

A model number may help others help you.
GE makes a lot of different units.

If you do not have the operators manual you may be able to download it from the GE site but you will need the model number.

As far as shutting the compressor off but leaving the fan on, that is possible.
Usually you can hear when the compressor is running.
