Back in December 08 I ordered and received a new oven element from Appliance Parts Pro. When I opened the package I noticed that one side of the two wire stand-offs that keep the front of the element off the bottom of the oven was detached from the element. I went ahead and installed the element and it works just fine. Since then the other side of the wire stand-off has come loose and now the one side of the element is poorly supported.
My question is, is there something I can put between the element and the bottom of the oven to hold the element up? I don't think it is a good idea to have the element dangling like that and I don't think it is worth buying a new element just for this. Please advise.
