My dryer is making a squeeking noise. A friend of mine said hers did that and she found out her drum was out of alignment. Can I align it myself?

Yours is more likely to be roller supports, which tend to make a deep rumbling noise; or the idler bearing, which typically makes a high-pitched squealing noise; or the glide bearing(s) which make a gritty, scraping noise.
