GE washer will not drain water even though it is spinning. Have replaced the water inlet valve and that fixed the original problem when it wouldn't fill. Have replaced the water level switch but I am not certain I got the wires connected correctly. Now, water will not drain even though the machine spins. Before I check the pump is it possible it is related to water level switch and that I just don't have wires connected correctly? It seems like new symptoms keep arising. Is that normal in older machine?
Thank You for any help you can offer. Diane

Either the pump coupler is broken or disconnected, OR, you have something caught in the PUMP!!!! Its NOT the water level switch.

You might have a rag cought in the tub or in the inlet to the water pump. I would remove the back and take off the inlet hose to the pump; hope you have a good drain in the floor.
