The door switch component came apart as I was removing the panel, front, etc. when I installed a new felt glide, successfully, of course. I couldn't remember exactly how it was assembled, so I ordered a new door switch to be safe. Part won't be delivered until Monday, but I need to do laundry today.... Can I run the dryer without the switch?? unplug its main connection?? or a diagram for the internal connections, spring, prongs, etc.?? Thanks so much!! Dianna:confused:

Connect the 2 wires together, tape them up and make sure that they can't get caught up in anything.ALSO make SURE that there are NO KIDS AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see 3 wires leading to the switch......grey, blue, brown wires. Do you mean tape them all together so the ends touch? Or two? If two, which? Thanks again for all your help. Dianna

You will need to refer to the schematic behind the control panel. One wire goes to power or ground, anothr to the drum light and the last to the motor. You need to short together the motor and power/ground wires
