The oven is working, but the control panel is very faint to blank. There seem to be a number of parts that might be the fix, but I can't tell which precise part I need. Also is this a do it yourself job by a smart husband and son-in-law if instructions are provided? Thanks.

This job is not going to be too difficult for the man you described. - The part number for the control kit is AP3382408 Here are the break down diagrams for the Thermador oven Model SC302T Gene.
