Glass Top Model GJP85800
Front Left single/dual burner comes on in the DUAL mode when either the DUAL or SINGLE mode is turned on. I tested the switch with an ohmmeter. The switch is labeled TUDP 426 (26 Oct 2000) 12A 240VAC 9735300 TERM 2-5 0.5A. Switch connections are at positions #2,3,4,5 and N at the top.Connected wire colors are at #2 (2 black); #3 (single red); #4 (single orange); #5 (2 blue); N (2 red and 1 brown).
In OFF position: N to 3 is 20 ohms; N to 4 is 20 ohms, and 3 to 4 is 1 ohm.
In the DUAL ON position: N to any other connection is 9.74K ohm and the rest are shorted (zero ohms) between themselves(i.e., 2 to 5; 3 to 5; 2 to 3; 4 to 5 are zero ohms)
In the SINGLE ON: all reading are the same as the DUAL ON position.
Based on the above readings, should I just order a new switch or are there other tests I should do?
Thanks

Jeff,

Sounds like the switch has gone bad. Contact the APP team to get the right part number.

Gene.
