My ice maker makes ice and dispenced water with no problem, the light even works. When I set it to dispence cubed or crushed ice it makes a vibrating sound but the augger does not turn. I took the Ice tray out and the augger motor will turn by hand without problem. Do you know where I can get drawings and procedures for removing the assembly to determine what the problem is? I don't like going in blind if I don't have to. Also, I am sure this is a common problem as my daughters in NC is doing the same thing.

Without the ice bin, open the freezer door, push and hold the door switch and depress the ice release on the door (cubed and crushed). Check if the auger motor and the solenoid will work. Post the results.
