I bought a kit to do maintenanceItem #: 1261075
Description: Dryer preventative maintenance kit 1992 - 2001; The kit includes: Instruction Sheet, Rear bearing kit, Upper drum glide, Lower drum glide, Idler arm assembly with pulley & Drum belt.
The parts matched up pretty good and I made the changes. BUT, when I go to start the dryer the drum won't turn until I push it by hand. I have to open the top lid and push the drum while turning it on, then it runs fine.
I am wondering if the new felt gasketts are creating too much friction??

So much for Sears great idea, to sell a mainenance kit to line there pockets. Two things to check, when you put the belt on is it rib side down? Also, did you put the belt around the pully the way, it was before? Tom ApplianceEducator.com
