Im changing the 4 prong cord to a 3 prong cord. I see a green wire on the back of the dryer, a grounding wire I presume. Where do I connect that green wire/strap?

I am assuming that one end of the green wire is attached to the frame. The other end should be attached to the white (Neutral) connection on the terminal strip (usually the center connector). |

I have a dryer (whirlpool) that has a 4 prong cord. The house I just moved into has a 3 prong outlet. I bought a 3 prong cord to change it but when I took the back off the dryer I found that the existing cord has plastic quick connect fittings instead of the standard stud, eyelet, nut fittings. What can I do or where can I find a plug with the plastic quick connect fittings? I have found out that this model (ygew9877jq1) is a Canadian made model. The only part I can find for it is part #: AP3044031. Any advice would be appreciated.
