My dishwasher started doing erratic things lately. Sometimes all the controls work and sometimes they do not. It will start a cycle and then quit and the 2 or 4 hr. delay light will come on. Sometimes a control such as normal, heavy, low energy, door lock, cancel or drain will work and sometimes they will not. Do you think it is control board part number 9744031 or could it be something else. I hate to by a new control board if it isn't the problem. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

First thing to check is the electrical connection under the machine. A loose ground or neutral can cause mysterious symptoms like you mentioned.

I checked the electric connections and they look fine and are tight. I also killed the power to the dishwasher waited about a half hr. and turned it back on. Sometimes it will run through a complete cycle and sometimes it will not. When it does not it quits and the delay cycle light will come on.

Check the door switch. If it operates properly, I would then suspect the control board.
