The key pad to my 3 year old GE Spacemaker microwave (model JVM2070SK02) isn't working properly. The left side buttons work fine. The ones in the middle respond like you are pushing the left row of buttons. And the ones on the right don't respond at all. Any suggestions?

Had a very similar problem years ago. Found the ribbon cable from the key pad to the board had become fouled with dirt and shorted out some leads.

Remove the face plate and remove the ribbon cable, use a scissors and cut 1/4 inch off the ribbon cable, clean the connector contacts and reconnect.

After that mine worked fine for years.
