The title of the thread pretty much explains what is going on.
The dryer won't run unless the "push to start" button is pressed in. When you let off of the switch, the dryer stops running. I took a stab in the dark and thought it might be a bad "push to start" switch. So I replaced it, and still does the same thing. What is wrong with it, and what part do I need to replace?

Sounds like your motor's centrifugal switch is not operating.

Take a look at the wiring diagram
You push the Start Switch
Power goes to the motor's Main and Start windings
Once the motor starts up the centrifugal switch is activated.
The Start winding is switched out and the Main winding gets power through the centrifugal switch to keep the motor running.

Could be mechanical or the switch is shot, unfortunately you cannot purchase just the switch you have to get the motor assembly.
