i was trying to fix door latch and droped my screwdriver on doorlach assembly and short somthing ,now every button works but start /cancle button. what did i do ,what do i have to replace?:mad:

Hi smnas
The first thing I would check is the connection of the control panel ribbon into the the control board slot and the ribbon itself.

i checked it ,it looks ok. but i checked voltage on switch ,one switch has reading 120.0 volts and other one is 4.37 volts .it looks like one of the switch is not geting enough voltage,it has two switches on latch assembly . would it be control pannel ? help

One of the door switches is wired (black wires) into the hot line and it should be 120V reading on that switch. The second switch is wired (white wires) into the neutral line and should not have any power reading. If you see 120V on the switch with the white wires, it means your dishwasher is wired with the reversed polarity which is wrong and could cause damage to the control board or any other parts and also is a major safety issue.
