Adjust the air shutter as described in the Installation instructions (page 39). Clean the hole in the orifice using a needle or a toothpick. Gene.

Thanks for all your help Gene. I was able to play with it today. I installed another igniter and have the same problem. The real problem here is that the igniter is not igniting the gas. If I light it manually it stays on only until the igniter goes off then when the igniter cycles back on it does not fire up the gas. Any other suggestions. The Flames are blue and 2-4 inches toward the oven door but smaller toward the igniter side of the burner. Maybe an inch or so.

When i run the bbq lighter by the burner holes that are near the igniter the flame doesn't light the gas but the holes are all clear.

Sounds like there is something wrong with the burner itself.

This is just a guessing. The best thing in such situation is to hire a pro to diagnose the problem.

Do you know of a reasonable pro in CT. I already spent $60 on the igniter. I'm guessing a pro will want $100 to come out and at least another $50 min to repair. Then I'm into it for $210 for a cheap 10yr old GE xl44. Or just replace it for $300 with another cheap stove. Thanks
