I have a Kitchen Aid Superba Gas dryer approx 7 years old. It will heat up initially, but after a dry cycle the clothes are still damp/wet. occasionally I can smell a gas odor after it has been running for some time. I have checked all of the sensors/thermostats after taking off the back cover with an ohm meter, but I have not opened to the igniter assy on the inside. Any idea as to where to begin with the troubleshooting?

It sounds as if your vent is clogged or partially obstructed. Check that first.

I have checked the venting as well. It is clear.
