I have a Kenmore side by side that is having a strange problem. The freezer and refridgerator both get cold near the bottom but are warm near the top of each compartment. The ice trays are frozen at the bottom of the freezer but stay liquid when on the top shelf. I have read many posts here but can't find one like this proble. Has anyone ever seen this kind of problem?
Thanks

Is the fan in the freezer working? Also make sure it is not blocked by food containers.
It is required to circulate the air in the freezer and also push cold air into the fresh food side. |

It is required to circulate the air in the freezer and also push cold air into the fresh food side. The Fan was not turning and I had ordered one and went ahead and replaced it. Now I am watching to see that the defrost circuit is working ok. Tehre was lots of frost on the evap coils but I guess no fan could have caused this too. Thanks for great info here!!
