Whirlpool 1991 white stove (cannot find model number) nice clean condition. But completely dead when plugged in. Is there a reset switch or fuse?. I was assured that it does work. Checked trip switch on house Electric panel. Bought secondhand. Are there any signs I can look for? Help. Thank you.

Pretty hard to help without a Model Number.

Also is it gas or electric?

Unplug it.
Open up the back and the control console and look for burned or loose wires
