How do I installed a oven temperature sensor to a Maytag MES5770 electric range? I think it is located in the oven but have no idea how to get to it. Thank you

Sanco,

Your oven temp sensor is located on the back wall, right upper corner of the oven cavity. It is mounted with 2 phillips head screws.

Of course, you're going to turn off the breakers to the oven, before you start, It's a lot easier if you remove the oven door and racks. Once the 2 screws are removed, you should be able to slowly and carefully extract the sensor and wire harness from the unit, unplug the wire connector, and reverse the procedure to install the new part.

Thank you very much for the help. It was right there were you said and came off without a hitch. Only problem I felt I should have been a pretzel in order to re-install the screws. But I got it.

Sanco,

Great, so your up and running, and all is good.

Sometimes you have to be a contortionist, but it's fun, most of the time.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
