This seems to work ok, but like most of us, my present wood burner is way too large for the room it is in, puts out about 80,000 BTU/ hr. I am forced to use an efficient squirrel cage fan using about 1.5 amp. This moves a huge volume of air to the rest of the house and keeps the room temperature at liveable levels. This fan would never do that.

Any component of the chimney that gets near flamable stuff must be triple insulated. This heat exchanger must direct hot air away from flamable items in the room.
