I have a Frigidaire side by side unit model # FRS26R4AQ4, 6 years old.

My refrigerator is still having problems.

First problem was it would freeze the food in the refrigerator side. I solved that by installing a new control box which consists of freezer and refrigerator thermostats, ADC circuit board, damper and motor.

Now it will run fine for 3 or 4 days, and then it will thaw for 12 to 18 hours before coming back on. Then it will start the cycle again.

I checked the defrost heater and it works. I replaced the defrost thermostat thinking it may be sticking.

I have also replaced the compressor run capacitor thinking it was bad (but was not).

Could it be the PTC relay on the compressor?

Could it be a bad circuit board (ADC)?

Please help……I’m going insane.

Sounds like the ADC has gone bad. If it came as a part of the control box kit then you have to talk to people who sold it to you about the part warranty.
