Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 10/30/2007(UTC) Posts: 1		I'm replacing the compressor in my Kenmore refrigerator. The new compressor has black rubber plugs sealing the 3 pieces of copper tubing coming out of the compressor. The old compressor was conected to the refrigerator at the copper tubing by sweating, is there a new methode of conection or do I just remove the plack plugs and sweat the conection. I also removed one of the plugs for about 30 seconds and some gas did escape, is this a problem? Thanks Rob

I never open one till ready to put in. Are you sure your old compressor is bad, what are the symptoms.
