My dryer was working fine and after I had dried a load of clothes and went to push the start button, the dryer would not start. I wondered if it could be the start button switch.

the first thing you want to do is turn the dryer breaker off, and on a few times. You did not give your model #, so I will assume, that if you can take the back panel off the dryer, close to the bottom, is a white part, that is an inch and a half long, and a half inch wide, and has 2 wires coming to it. That is the thermal fuse. That could be your problem, or the door switch. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
