Thanks Icaliente, The most common problem for that description, is a "seaping" fill valve, Part number: AP4071381
The water continues to drip into the fill tube.and icemaker, the icemaker overfills and the water left in the grommet freezes. I'd start there. Good Luck, :) :) :)

i replaced the part like you sugest and i put and icemaker inline filter. Seems to work. But when you raised the arm for stop making ice 2 or 3 days later the grromet is filled out with froze water. Do i need to replace the whole icemaker? Thanks

Thanks Caliente, You installed a new fill valve, and an in line water filter. The filter is a good idea, But, You may have dropped the water pressure to the fill valve, causing the drip which eventually freezes in the grommet. You may want to remove or bypass the filter for a few days and see if the issue occurrs, before you replace the icemaker. Good Luck, :) :) :)

I bypass the filter same results. Put the filoter back same results. Takes around a week until you notice the water froze in the grommet. :(

Takes around a week until you notice the water froze in the grommet. :( Icalliente, At this point, I have to make an educated guess. You have to maintain a minimum and constant water pressure of 25 psi at the fill valve connection at the back of the refrigerator, in order to maintain proper operation of the water system. You may want to recheck the shut off valve and supply tubing for debris, restrictions, and twists or kinks(especially if it is a self piercing saddle valve assembly). You've pretty much eliminated the refrigerator as the the issue, with all the work and bypasses you performed and parts you replaced. Good Luck and Thanks, :) :) :)
