dryer ( 2-1/2 yrs. old) has high pitched noise. the slides are shot , top plastic bearing drum is worn and has some grooves in it as well , rear drum bearing looks good. Could all that noise be from the slides only? Can anyone help with procedure to replace top bearing drum? Thanks

I guess you know how to take the front off, because you inspected the front slides. So, if you have the top off, and the front off. Go to the back of the dryer, and take the small panel off on the bottom, and take the belt off. Look at it, and see how it goes on, before you take it off. Once you have the belt off. Come back to the front, and pull the drum straight out. They have that rear bearing assembly in a kit. Tom
