My Maytag Electric Dryer takes about 4 hours to dry a small load
can somebody send me a taredown/parts manual

Here is your parts breakdown

Here is a service Manual for a DE series, might come in handy

Before opening it up run a cycle with it disconnected from the vent.
If worried about lint in the house take a pair of pantyhose, put one leg into the other and attach this to the dryer's exhaust. Leave enough room behind the unit so it can blow out like a windsock.
This will also let you monitor the exhaust velocity and temperature.
If it dries OK then you just have a vent problem.
