I just replaced the evaporator fan motor on my 2005 Frigidare with a "direct replacement" from Electrolux (service kit 5303918549). Unfortunately, the direct replacement does not have any obvious way to connect the two wires that power the freezer light. The new part does have the correct harness for the optional ice maker and for the motor power itself, but I can't figure how to splice in the light. On the original, one wire goes to the 6-pin power connector (this pin is missing on the replacement) and the other is joined with an icemaker power wire. If I just start splicing away, I'm sure I will end up with a light that never goes off. Any ideas how to connect the freezer light?
P.S. I called the helpful Electrolux toll-free number on the instruction sheet, and they told me that since I'm not a professional repairman, they won't help me.

Thanks Gene, I did not have that resource before. The diagram exactly reflects the old part, but the new part does not have a red/yellow wire coming from the power connector, and it's only function is to include the door switch in the loop. Is it possible to add a pin to an empty hole in a plastic connector? If so, I could add my own red/yellow wire. Electrolux really screwed this one up. Originally Posted by: Gene
