hello, i just had a 196 degree thermal limiter go out so i replaced it and it's been a week or two and it dried ok and it is out again today to my surprise, it has no continuity. any ideas what could be the problem? i replaced the 350 degree thermal cutoff and 250 degree thermostat at the same time. so they were all new, plus a new heating element. what does the 196 degree thermal limiter do? any ideas what the problem could be? my timer isn't working properly so i ordered one but it still dried we just had to watch how long the clothes were in the dryer. any help would be appreciated. thanks. jeremy

what does the 196 degree thermal limiter do? Protects against an overheat which could start a lint fire and then a house fire.
You have replaced just about everything so I can only think of a couple things. 1. A clogged vent system. Make sure it is clean and that the outside vents open all the way.
2. The blower wheel is stripped and is slipping on the motor shaft. Could also just be very dirty. |
