I have a Danby 8 set dishwasher. I've noticed in the past couple of weeks that it is starting get odors, and now it is leaking. I pulled it apart and found that the leak appears to be coming from the pump unit, specifically the center of the white housing unit that contains the water where the shaft is holding it onto the motor. I looked at the hoses connecting to it and didn't see any obvious cracks or breaks. My questions are, is it common for the pump unit to leak in this area, if so do I have to replace the whole unit or is it possible to replace just the white water housing, if not where else should I look? Lastly is it possible that the odors and leak are connected?

Thanks for any advice.
