Good evening! Our dryer stopped running this evening. Motor turns on, but drum doesn't turn. Took the back panel off and was able to reach into the cavern beyond to see the belt hanging loose. Trouble is, don't know how to access that part without taking off all the bits and pieces off the back. Didn't want to do that without checking with someone here.
Drum still turns - doesn't seem to be frozen up, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of an old belt. The machine has been absolutely trouble-free until this point.
Can someone provide some assistance? Save us a call to the repair guy and the accompanying $$ output!? :)

Pull out the lint filter, remove the 2 screws under the filter, pull the top of the dryer foward 1/2" and lift the top up, remove the 2 screws holding the front panel on, lift the front off the dryer, If you buy a WHIRLPOOL belt, It will come with instructions on the bag!!
