It could be the door lock mechanism, but it is most likely the Micrcomputer machine control. The part # is 8182664. If you unplug the washer, there will be 3 screws that take the top off, they are located on the back side. Once you get the top off, the microcomputer is up top in the middle in the rear. It is that off white color, box, with all the wires going to it. It is real easy to replace. Tom
