Kitchenaid rinse aid dispenser running out too fast

I've had an ongoing issue with this unit running out of rinse aid way too fast (3 weeks instead of 1-3 months.). When I had the motor unit replace, the service tech also replaced something related to the dispenser, and that seemed to do the trick for a while, but it's back to a very short duration.
I pulled the unit out and can't see where or how the liquid is dispensed, besides just dribbling out the front when the door goes from open to closed. Is there more to it? Is this just normal operation?
Thanks in advance.

The amount of rinse aid released into the final wash can be adjusted as described in the Owners manual (page 11). Gene.

Yep, I saw that for sure. But it's down at 2 (I even set it down to 1 for now) and it's still emptying out in a few weeks instead of 1-3 months.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Remove the inner door panel and check the reservoir for a leakage.

I took the entire assembly apart, removed the unit, tipped it this way and that. No leakage except out of the front of the rinse-aid which is how I ASSUME it dispenses. I can't find any other way rinse-aid would get into the system except by the action of the door opening and closing and liquid seeping out of the closed flap.

I'm stumped. Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you better.

I just had mine apart and it appears that the solenoid that unlatches the soap lid also opens a valve on the dispenser reservoir. My guess is, during the wash cycle, the solenoid pulls in briefly to open the soap cup and then, during the rinse cycle, it pulls in again, probably for a minute or so to allow the rinse aid to dribble out. Maybe your solenoid isn't closing that valve properly allowing the goo to leak out.
