Our dishwasher will not pump out any water, it does everything else fine.I found a piece of broken glass in botton when I bailed out the water.I also found a broken part called the lifter and replaced that, but still will not pump out.It fills, sprays, heats, rinses but acts like the pump out cycle is not there, with no noise present but silence ,then adds more water and starts again to wash. Thanks for any help. Keith

Here is your parts breakdown Model DU6500NAnd here is a service manual http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16008775.pdfHave you tried different cycle types or places where it calls for a drain? I would have said it was a timer problem but if it happens at different drain locations on timer dial, that does not make sense. Looks like the drain uses the same contacts as the wash. Wash ends, motor shuts off, drain solenoid closes for a few seconds, motor starts up and then the force of the water probably holds the drain till empty. If you have the wiring diagram which came with the unit I would check it against the one in the tech sheet just to make sure they are the same. |

Yes it could be bad but you said nothing runs when it should be draining.
Motor should stop, the solenoid activate then the motor start again to drain.
Activate it manually to check that it moves freely. Could also activate it manually when the motor stops for the wash to drain cycle, hold it till the motor starts up again. If it now drains you know it is a solenoid or timer/wiring problem. Remove the wires from it and check it for continuity. If OK, check that it gets power for 7 to 15 seconds when it is supposed to activate. Check the timing chart. If you do not get power then it is either the timer or the wires from the timer to the solenoid. |

have you tried to remove the water pump make sure nothing is
there, you said you remove glass, it could have made it all the
way down to the pump and is not letting the blower spin/drain
the water out.

I could not get the impeller out so I took the screw out of the grater knife and removed the strainer on the front and found a wad of hair dust ball with a few pieces of thread in it approx. 1 inch in diameter on inside of impeller.Removed the wad still could not get impeller out so I put it back together, works like before but no pump out.
