I have a new Idler Pulley & Idler Bracket for my Whirlpool Duet dryer, just want to know if you should lube the Idler pulley before i put it on the Idler Bracket or is it machine so you do not have to lube it? please answers !:confused:

Mr.C40,

It shouldn't be necessary, but I always have lubed new rollers and shafts.

Do not use WD 40 or similar products. and you only need 1 0r 2 drops of "Hi speed" oil

(sewing machine oil or 3 in 1 oil works, OK). Clean up any excess oil,after you install the parts, and you'll be fine.
