serial # vsm2074017 Man. date- 05-02
I have to defrost it every 7-10 days after the coil and back panel cover up in ice. I assume that it is the electronic model but I need to know what to test. I could not find that model in the "sticky".
I also need a new seal for the fridge.

Just to be sure, do I cut the wires on the defrost thermostat to check it? There doesn't appear to be a way to unplug it. I checked it at the open plug that is taped up from the factory and there was no resistance.
thanks
edit.. The heater and timer are fine. The plastic piece on the thermostat looks like it has been pryed out. It is not even flush with the metal housing. It is in crooked. I know that I have never touched it.
